Payment Terms

1. Booking & Deposit

  • A non-refundable deposit of AUD $2,000 is required to secure a mentorship position
  • Position is not confirmed until deposit is received
  • Places are limited to 100 participants annually

2. Balance Payment

  • Remaining balance must be paid minimum 14 days prior to scheduled surgery date
  • Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation and forfeiture of deposit

5. Cancellation Policy

Candidate Cancellation:

  • More than 30 days: Deposit non-refundable, balance refunded minus 10%
  • 14–30 days: Deposit forfeited, 50% fee payable
  • Less than 14 days: 100% fee payable

Rescheduling:

  • One reschedule allowed with 21 days notice
  • Subject to availability
  • Admin fee may apply

No Show:

  • 100% fee forfeited

GOAT Cancellation:

  • Case may be rescheduled or replaced
  • Credit may be issued

Clinical Suitability:

  • All cases subject to clinical assessment and safety considerations

Candidate Selection Criteria

1. Minimum Clinical Experience

To participate in the Full-Arch Internship Program, candidates must:

  • Have placed a minimum of 20 dental implants independently
  • Demonstrate foundational understanding of:
  • Surgical protocols
  • Implant positioning principles
  • Basic bone grafting concepts
  • Be registered and in good standing with the relevant dental regulatory body

2. Recommended Experience (Preferred but Not Mandatory)

  • Exposure to guided surgery workflows
  • Experience in flap design and suturing
  • Basic understanding of prosthetic-driven implant planning

3. Clinical Readiness Assessment

All candidates are subject to a pre-program assessment, which may include:

  • Case history review
  • CBCT interpretation discussion
  • Treatment planning evaluation
  • Clinical confidence and decision-making assessment

4. Mentor Discretion Clause

Final acceptance into the program, and allocation of cases, remains at the sole discretion of GOAT Clinical Mentors.

GOAT reserves the right to:

  • Approve or decline participation based on clinical readiness
  • Allocate cases appropriate to the candidate's skill level
  • Defer participation until further training is completed
  • Modify the level of involvement during surgery in the interest of patient safety

5. Patient Safety Priority

All mentorship activities are conducted under strict clinical governance.

At all times:

  • Patient safety overrides training objectives
  • Clinical mentors may intervene, take over, or alter the procedure as required
  • Candidate participation level may be adjusted intra-operatively

6. Code of Conduct

Candidates are expected to:

  • Maintain professional behaviour at all times
  • Follow mentor instructions without deviation
  • Adhere to all clinical, ethical, and safety protocols
  • Respect patient confidentiality and consent frameworks
